EVENT:
Race the River Triathlon at Riverstone, a portion of the
proceeds will go to Boys and Girls Club.
LOCATION: Corner of Beebe Blvd and Tilford Lane, Coeur d’Alene, ID.
Riverstone is just South of the Northwest Blvd Exit off
I-90 (Exit 11)
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Swim starts ½ mile upstream , swim is a
straight line with the current. Water temp in the 70’s,
wetsuits allowed but not necessary. Bike course details
coming soon. No
tandem or pull carts allowed. Helmets required. Run
course is on the Prairie and Centennial Trails. There will be an aid station
at the 1.5 mile mark with water and Heed provided by
Hammer Nutrition. Run finishes near transition. Transition area will be
at park entrance.
TIME: Elite division starts at 7:00 AM. Men start
at 7:30 AM, Teams at approx 7:50 AM,
Women at approx 7:55 AM. Mandatory athlete meeting at 6:30 AM,
body marking will be done
as athletes check into transition.
FIELD SIZE:
Limited to 700 total participants including 25 teams.
Registration will close to teams as soon as 25 teams
have registered.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Online July 20, 2011 at
midnight.
LATE ENTRY:
NO REGISTRATION ON RACE DAY.
DIVISIONS: Elites, and Age Groups 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34,
35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and
70+. Athena’s (150 lbs.+) - 39 years and under (open)
and 40 years and older (master). Clydesdale (200 lbs +)
-39 years and under (open) and 40 years and older
(master)
Teams (3 ages combined) age groups of 129 or less and
130+ combined ages. Men only in each age category, Women
only in each age category, Mixed in each age category.
AWARDS: Top 5 finishers in each individual category and top
3
finishers in teams will receive a medal.
PACKET PICK-UP:
Packet pick-up will
be Saturday, July 24, 2010. All Athletes must pick up their
own Race Packet and provide ID.
NO REGISTRATION OR PACKET PICKUP ON RACE
DAY.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Transition opens for set up at 5:30 AM
and will be closed at 7:00 AM once race starts.
All athletes must have their
transition set up by 7:00 AM regardless of start time.
