EVENT: Race the River Triathlon at Riverstone, a portion of the proceeds will go to Boys and Girls Club.

LOCATION: Riverstone Park, Coeur d’Alene, ID. Riverstone is just South of the Northwest Blvd Exit off I-90 (Exit 11)

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Swim starts ½ mile upstream (trolleys take participants to start), swim is a straight line with the current. Water temp in the 70’s, wetsuits allowed but not necessary. Bike course goes through Riverstone Park, onto Seltice Way and back (3 loops). No tandem or pull carts allowed. Helmets required. Run course follows Centennial Trail north to Golf Course Rd. There will be an aid station with water at the turn around. Run finishes with a loop around Riverstone Lake in the Park. Run course is flat. Transition area will be at park entrance.

TIME: Men start at 7:00 AM, Teams at 7:30 AM, Women at 8:00 AM. Mandatory athlete meeting at 6:20 AM, timing chip distribution and body marking will be done as athletes check into transition.

FIELD SIZE: Limited to 500 total participants including 20 teams. Registration will close to teams as soon as 20 teams have registered.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Online July 21, 2009 at midnight, Mail-in postmarked by June 30, 2009.

LATE ENTRY:

NO REGISTRATION ON RACE DAY.

DIVISIONS: 18 and under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+. Athena’s (150 lbs.+) - 39 years and under (open) and 40 years and older (master). Clydesdale (200 lbs +) -39 years and under (open) and 40 years and older (master)
Teams (3 ages combined) age groups of 110 or less and 111+ combined ages. Men only in each age category, Women only in each age category, Mixed in each age category.

AWARDS: Overall Man, Overall Woman, Overall Team, Top 3 finishers in each individual category and top 2 finishers in teams will receive a medal.

PACKET PICK-UP: Packet pick-up will be at Vertical Earth at 2175 North Main St in Riverstone from 11 AM to 7 PM Saturday, July 25, 2009. All Athletes must pick up their own Race Packet and sign waiver, if one is not already on file.

NO REGISTRATION OR PACKET PICKUP ON RACE DAY.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Teams must register on one form. All three must sign and indicate 3 shirt sizes. Music, drawings, awards ceremony at the Park Amphitheater.

Transition opens for set up at 5:30 AM and will be closed at 7:00 AM once race starts.

Teams and women must have their transition set up by 7:00 AM.
